What is discrimination in Education ?

The right to discrimination-free education is the foundation underlying the HALDE’s action in such areas as child registration for school, registration and admission requirements in higher education, access requirements for training programmes and student testing procedures.

Promoting Equality

  • The HALDE works with professionals in the fields of education and training to identify and understand how discrimination occurs and to develop awareness-raising tools.

Deliberations

  • The HALDE’s decisions are handed down by the Council, in form of deliberations. Each case is investigated to clarify the facts, present legal analysis of the situation from the standpoint of anti-discrimination law and inform of the Council’s findings.
