Deliberations

The HALDE’s decisions are handed down by the Council, in form of deliberations. Each case is investigated to clarify the facts, present legal analysis of the situation from the standpoint of anti-discrimination law and inform of the Council’s findings.

The HALDE’s deliberation proceedings include the results of the case investigation and recommendations, depending on the situation : validity of the claim, verification measures on-site, proposed settlement, mediation, referral to court, observations, etc.

Based on the complaints lodged, which can bring out inadequacies in the legislation or texts, such that their enforcement can lead to discriminatory situations, the HALDE can issue recommendations so that the legislative and regulatory changes necessary to improve the laws can be adopted.

In this section, you will find a selection of the HALDE’s decisions. To view decisions on general issues, click on “General”. To launch an advanced search based on specific criteria and/or fields within discrimination, use the scroll-down menus below.
