Who can lodge a complaint ?

Any person who believes he or she has been a victim of discrimination may directly lodge a complaint with the High Commission, by sending a substantiated letter to :

Complaints may also be lodged with the High Commission by :

  • Any association legally declared for at least five years as at the date of the events, and the purpose of which is to fight discrimination or help victims. The association may lodge a compliant with the High Commission “jointly, with any party that deems it has been victim to discrimination”, and with its agreement.
  • The intermediary of a member of Parliament, a senator or a French representative to the European Parliament.
  • The High Commission may also take up a matter of its own accord, in the event of direct or indirect discrimination brought to its knowledge, provided that the victim, when identified, is duly informed and does not oppose it.
